Before we head on to the process to the actual procedure, it’s important to discuss how exactly resetting OneDrive works and does it impact your data.
Does Resetting OneDrive Deletes My Data?
We know that you’re concerned about whether your data will be affected during the reset process. Worry not, resetting OneDrive does NOT affect any of your files. Even after resetting, your files will still remain untouched in the OneDrive folder locally as well as on the Microsoft servers.
What Happens When You Reset OneDrive?
Resetting OneDrive restores the default settings for the OneDrive application. Any changes that you’ve made will be discarded. Your existing connection to the OneDrive servers will be re-established and you’ll again need to specify the folders on your computer to backup to OneDrive.
